The Armored Control Units (or ACUs) are crucial units in the Supreme Commander series. They build faster than Engineers and can be upgraded with a myriad of useful abilities and perks. In the Assassination game mode, destruction of ones ACU means a loss. It violently detonates a nuclear warhead upon destruction, unless the appropriate research has been unlocked.
